Make an appointment with Chris Ayala

After serving four years in the United States Air Force, Chris moved to New York City to work in the film industry as a producer and set decorator. He observed hair and makeup artists as they transformed actors out of thin air. The idea that a person can become someone different with just a haircut inspired him. He recognized both the artistry and creativity that came with hair styling and knew he had something different to offer.

Chris attended the American Barber Institute in Tribeca, and began cutting hair in 2014. Yearning to expand his knowledge and skills, he attended cosmetology school at Paul Mitchell in San Diego, California. Chris has worked at some of NYC’s most established Barber Shops and trained under the best master barbers before joining MVSPH. 

Chris has been a part of the Martial Vivot team since 2019 where, under the direction of Martial himself, has now graduated to become our newest full-time stylist. Still, he makes time to work as a men’s groomer on editorials and film shoots.

At his core, Chris is creative and an amazing storyteller. He is excited to share his experience as well as create new experiences with you. All Systems Go!
