Hailing from Kyoto, Japan, Oka began his journey as a barber at the tender age of 15. Under the strict focus and training of Matsuo Ichihashi, Oka grew his techniques and studied hard. He mastered the art of the straight razor shave, sheer scissor cutting and more.
By the age of 20, Oka was known as one of the top stylists at Momotaro Hair Salon in Osaka, Japan. Since moving to the U.S. in 2004, he has had no problem proving himself in the barber world as well as showing exactly why he is one of a kind and a master in his own way.
He works daily to provide above and beyond service to top athletes, politicians, governors, ambassadors , CEO’s, actors and was even recognized in the Financial Times.
Besides creating an absolute luxurious experience for his clients at Martial Vivot Salon Pour Hommes,Oka enjoys landscaping, music and photography. With his love for the arts and precision and grace of the blade, there is nothing Oka can’t do!
