Originally from Glasgow, Scotland, Tambo grew up in a family of barbers, which sparked his early interest in hair styling. He became involved in the music scene in Edinburgh, where his passion for men’s hair was further ignited. In 2011, Tambo moved to New York City, where he honed his craft at the forefront of modern American men’s hairstyling in Brooklyn. With extensive experience in high-end men’s hair cutting, he has witnessed and contributed to the evolution of styles over the years.
Initially inspired by period-specific cuts from the 1920s to the 1960s, Tambo has since expanded his skills to master a wide range of styles and techniques. As an educator, he has taught everything from fades and vintage-era cuts to classic scissor work and straight razor shaving. His passion for hair, intuitive understanding, keen eye for detail, and client-focused approach drive him to tailor each cut to the unique needs of his clients.
